Christian Robert Lacroix (France)
Christian Robert Lacroix is a household comic artist and playwright under a pen name of LAX in France and throughout Europe. He is good at comics focused on sports, detectives and life with featured figure modelling. In 1987, Des Maux pour Le Dire, drawn and made by himself, aroused great response upon its publication. Its leading character is just LAX’s elder brother who is born disabled. He is the first leading character in a wheelchair in comic strips in France.
LAX is popular to Chinese and is honoured as a “top comic master” by students of comics and readers. His drawing style is distinct and sets an example for those engaged in the art of comics.
